OBJETIVE:

To educate future therapists concerning specific knowledge of occupational therapy practice and procedures so as to successfully practice in an ethical, responsible manner, fully aware of multiculturalism in society. The graduate will be able to promote health, prevent injury, and aid in the recovery of health, through assessment and implementation of knowledge about occupations.

PROFILE OF APPLICANT:

To enter the Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy program, the applicant must have successfully completed high school or its equivalent, as well as possess the following characteristics:

Expertise:

• Knowledge of basic sciences.
• Reading and understanding the English language.

Skills:

• In self learning and learning and collaborating in group activities
• In establishing relationships that require physical contact
• In expressing themselves in written and oral communication

BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN OT - GRADUATE PROFILE:

The successful graduate will demonstrate skills in the management and implementation of theoretical and philosophical concepts regarding the occupational nature of humans. The graduate’s knowledge of the biological and social sciences, as well as the use of occupation as the cornerstone of the profession, will allow her or him to promote the independence and quality of life of clients and families, their community, and society in general. The graduate will also use her/his skills, values, flexibility, and leadership to work for the promotion of health, the inclusion of all in the system, and the promotion of occupational justice.
